this 850 word paper will kill me

Right now I am most definitely regretting the topic of "keep the arts in public schools."

Because even though it's a fantastic cause that I support very much, it's impossible after 468.

I should have picked something more awesome,
like Halloween or the Amish.

Oh well, so this is my procastination blog. Because I also have a 40 point math packet to do and study for Biotech. merher merher merher merher.

So this weekend was phenomenal, spent so much time with my absolute favorite people: the cross country runners.

I can't help it, maybe it's bad that after I quit running I'm more part of the team than ever before?

Either way I like it.
Unfortunately Katy Link didn't qualify for States and the guys' teams missed it by two points. Trevor Norris is going to run individually at States which is pretty spiffy I guess.

That's a whole lot of pressure for one person but he really has been doing amazing this year. And the other seniors can't feel toooooooo bad because the team went to States last year.

Something that I had never really done before hanging out with the team every weekend was TP-ING.
I mean I live on Lake Rd, we don't exactly get TP-ed. And the idea never really occurred to me.
They go almost every weekend.

We spent $30 on toilet paper and fruit loops [don't ask] last weekend, and had a WILD night.
Everything from leaving people in Giant Eagle to picking someone up at the pool, (don't worry we knew him), to start a giant war with other TP-ers we came across.

And the boys team is just amazing, all (most) of the guys are so nice and funny. And I may or may not have been hanging out with one guy in specific for the last three weeks. hehehe (;

I've strayed.

The moral of this story is that one should write about interesting, lengthy topics for lenghthy papers and bond with the cross country teams if they want to have a good time.

Days of the Week

In my weekly schedule, I have a general a guideline for what I'm going to wear.

Previously this was know as "Hipster Monday" but there really was no hipster in me. Hot Librarian Monday is a nice change of tempo and requires glasses.

Tuesday- Classy Tuesday.
Classy Tuesday is manadatory with the exception of Rain-Checks.
Skirts, cardigans, nicer shirts, and sweaters are a must.
If it's raining out, it's alright to dress a little more casual.

Wednesday- Hobo Wednesday.
One day of the week when it is completely appropriate to look like the homeless.
Hobo attire is considered to be in all sweatpants and sweatshirts. And they have to be at least one size to big.
But Hobo Wednesday is the most flexible day to dress and there are no real rules.

Thursday- Classy Thursday.
Classy Thurdays is more lenient than Classy Tuesday but the same guidelines apply. Nicer jeans are O.K. on Classy Thursday.
As the seasons change, every other week a dress should be worn on Classy Thurs.

Friday- Do-What-You-Want Friday.
Friday is the wild card day, similar to Monday. Although others participate in Flannel Friday, lez be honest, doesn't work for me. Ftriday is more of a jeans and that-one-green-shirt-that-makes-my- eyes-look-good day.

Saturday and Sunday vary according to the weekend's events.

So this is like the most bizzare, OCD, conceited blog post ever .
It's generally true, but don't call me out if I'm not up to quo.
Monday- Hot Librarian Monday

I challenge you to read, listen, and learn.

I am the definition of a MT nerd.
What is a MT nerd you ask?
         - musical theatre.

No surprises there, but today I'll give a crash course of everything the layman should know.

First, there are a wide variety of shows and genres that are both on Broadway and Off-Broadway.
Off-Broadway shows are very humorous but not quite at the same level as shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Chicago.

A show may start on Broadway but get transferred to Off-Broadway.

I have about 40 musicals on my iPod, (embarrassing right?), so I have the credibility to say these are good shows.

I'll focus on Broadway exclusives but some EXCEPTIONALLY performed shows that performed Off-Broadway to look up would be
[title of show]  this song is hilarious, click on me!
I Love You Because, cute song
Avenue Q everyone is a little bit racist... haha

These shows all contain adult themes so I wouldn't recommend jamming out with your parents around.

I know that sounds crazy? Musical theatre can be as racy as rap music.

A very new and interesting show I'd love to introduce you to is
In the Heights

This musical is entirely rap music. And it's an inspirational story. The main actor, Lin-Manuel Miranda, wrote the first version of In the Heights based on his hometown and went back there to gather up old talented friends to help choreograph and star in it.

February 8, 2007-  January 9, 2011  Heights is now closed.

If a show is "closed" it is no longer running on Broadway or Off-Broadway but may have began touring around the US & in London. Of course, if a show is closed, it might have also run its course and retired from professional stage, this happens mainly if reviews were awful. For instant, Glory Days closed in 2008 after 17 previews and one performance.

Next up we have, Book of Mormon

This is a VERY important show to recognize.

This year's winner of 9 Tony awards and BEST MUSICAL,
The Tony Awards are equivalent of the Oscars or the Olympics, this is hardcore.

This show was produced by the creators of South Park and reeks of crude humor & offensive jokes. Trey Parker and Matt Stone push boundaries like nothing else but it turns out to be absolutely hilarious!
I've been OBSESSED with this show for a few weeks, and wish it wasn't sold out for the next 6 months on B'Way!

This show is COMPLETELY inappropriate but here are two of my favorite songs!

This song is about how homosexuality is a "curable disease." hahaha click on me!

OBSESSED with this singer, Josh Gad, this song is about how he makes up what is in the Bible. VERY SUGGESTIVE LANGUAGE

and here's a video from the 2011 Tony's, hahah that is a HOT picture of Andrew Rannells!

"The controversial musical 'The Book of Mormon' by the creators of 'South Park' is one of the biggest hits Broadway has seen in years, winning over critics and audiences alike," CBS News said.

These are just two of the hundreds of Broadway shows, the two I selected are more humorous and appeal more to a general audience. Not all shows are happy-go-lucky. But all shows will entertain.

[work, yeah.]

It's awkward working in a nursing home sometimes.
Well, a lot of the time...

I work over at Towne Center, and I really enjoy it like 92 percent of the time, but working in a nursing home brings some really uncomfortable moments.

Don't get me wrong, I work in the kitchen. I serve food out of steam trays and give them to the residents. I pour drinks, make grilled cheese, wash dishes, and bus dinning rooms.
 So nothing gross.

~The weirdest issue is old men hitting on me. It's like "no thanks, but you can have some more jello." (;

~ I have to take special classes because I work with long-term people until their time is up.. And it's hard not getting attached to them.

~And my co-workers are quite the group, I'm not sure I'm allowed to say anything about that though outside of work.... not exactly the best influences though. Forgot to mention, I'm the baby. Everyone else is  at least five years older than me except for two girls a year older than me.

~Some residents are just plain creepy, some residents you can't understand, and some just sleep through dinner. One woman doesn't speak English.

But today, someone passed away.

Whenever this happens the whole dinning room eats in a quite hushed tone and you can feel the death all around. Because no one says a word, the dinner is over very early.
You don't really know how to react, what to say or how to feel.
Because you didn't know that person growing up, you knew them in their final hours. They've already lived their lives, dreams and goals achieved or abandoned.

We are so young. Cherish everyone in your life.

Wednesdays Are My Busy Days

Four minutes until the music goes off, let's see if I can get this done.
Normally, I would take time to vent all about homecoming and how cute it was, but no time today.

Wednesdays are tight.

After along day at school, I rush straight to my car at 2:54. From there, I drive home in around two minutes and go change into my work uniform and eat something. and then go to work. (I'll blog about work later.)
So 3:30 to around 7 I serve old folks their food and it's great.

Then off to rehearsel til 9. And then at 9:30 I finally start my homework. fantastic.

I hate to be one of "those people" but yes, I'm complaining.

But, I send out sincerest apologies because all I ever do is complain and freak out about things while blogging.

But honestly, I'm stressing out.

Physics and Pre-calc are awful.
My schedule this year is awful.

I don't understand anything in my science & math classes and seriously don't know what to do. I don't understand what my teachers are "explaining."

NOT because I'm dumb. More because I'm taking smart classes.

And I can't come in early because of early bird, and I don't have 12th period off because I have French. And I can't stay afterschool because I have work or rehearsel. merherrr merherrrr merherrr merherrr

But things that help me de-stress are:
eating full loaves of bread.
running.
taking a shower.
and blogging.
